Parents’ Association

The Parents’ Association is a voluntary group representing all parents in Rathcoffey N.S. Working closely with the Principal, staff, and Board of Management, the Association helps build a strong partnership between home and school and enhances the educational experience of every child.

What the Parents’ Association Does

The Association plays an active role in school life by:

 

 

  • Acting as a link between parents and the school

  • Ensuring parents are represented in school planning and decision-making

  • Supporting communication between families and school management

  • Fundraising for school improvements, such as the creation of eight new raised flower beds

  • Organising annual social events, including the Halloween Disco, Christmas celebrations, and Sports Day

  • Providing support at major milestones like communions, confirmations, and 6th class graduation

  • Hosting guest speakers on topics such as internet safety, wellbeing, and cyberbullying

  • Running second-hand uniform sales and welcome meetings for new parents

  • Contributing to the school newsletter and helping with extracurricular activities
